तथाघवदनान्मृत्यो रक्षित्वा वत्सपालकान् । सरित्पुलिनमानीय भगवानिदमब्रवीत् ॥ ४ ॥

Verse text

tathāgha-vadanān mṛtyo rakṣitvā vatsa-pālakān sarit-pulinam ānīya bhagavān idam abravīt

Synonyms

tathā thereafter ; agha vadanāt — from the mouth of Aghāsura ; mṛtyoḥ death personified ; rakṣitvā after saving ; vatsa pālakān — all the cowherd boys and calves ; sarit pulinam — to the bank of the river ; ānīya bringing them ; bhagavān the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa ; idam these words ; abravīt spoke .

Translation

Then, after saving the boys and calves from the mouth of Aghāsura, who was death personified, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, brought them all to the bank of the river and spoke the following words.

Then, after saving the boys and calves from the mouth of Aghāsura, who was death personified, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, brought them all to the bank of the river and spoke the following words. KB 10.13.4 “After saving His friends from the mouth of Aghāsura and killing the demon, Lord Kṛṣṇa brought His friends to the bank of the Yamunā and addressed them as follows:

In this way (tathā), saving the calves and the boys from Agha’s mouth, which was death itself, the Lord brought them to the river bank and spoke.
