श्रीशुक उवाच एवं वृन्दावनं श्रीमत् कृष्ण: प्रीतमना: पशून् । रेमे सञ्चारयन्नद्रे: सरिद्रोध:सु सानुग: ॥ ९ ॥

śrī-śuka uvāca evaṁ vṛndāvanaṁ śrīmat kṛṣṇaḥ prīta-manāḥ paśūn reme saṣcārayann adreḥ sarid-rodhaḥsu sānugaḥ

Synonyms

śrī śukaḥ uvāca — Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said ; evam in this way ; vṛndāvanam with the forest of Vṛndāvana and its inhabitants ; śrīmat beautiful ; kṛṣṇaḥ Lord Kṛṣṇa ; prīta manāḥ — being satisfied in His mind ; paśūn the animals ; reme He took pleasure ; saṣcārayan making them graze ; adreḥ in the vicinity of the mountain ; sarit of the river ; rodhaḥsu upon the banks ; sa anugaḥ — together with His companions .

Translation

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Thus expressing His satisfaction with the beautiful forest of Vṛndāvana and its inhabitants, Lord Kṛṣṇa enjoyed tending the cows and other animals with His friends on the banks of the river Yamunā below Govardhana Hill.

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Thus expressing His satisfaction with the beautiful forest of Vṛndāvana and its inhabitants, Lord Kṛṣṇa enjoyed tending the cows and other animals with His friends on the banks of the river Yamunā below Govardhana Hill. KB 10.15.9 In this way, Lord Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma began to enjoy the residents of Vṛndāvana to Their full satisfaction as They herded the calves and cows on the bank of the Yamunā. In some places Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma were accompanied by Their friends.

Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

Evam (thus) means "decribing Vrndavana in this way ", or "having thus satisfied his older brother." Krsna inspired by his own words "the gopis were fortunate for having attains his chest," along with Balarama, began to call out to the cows and cowherd boys. "After resting here at Govardhana for a short time, you should proceed to the bank of the Yamuna and play for sometime. I will come soon." Though inseparable from Balarama during this pauganda age, with the appearance of kaisora age Krsna began his amorous pastimes with the gopis alone. This is indicated in this verse by the word "evam." Having praised Balarama and having made him herd the cows through the forest of Vrndavana (evam), he to whom Radha (srimat) shows love (pritah) came to Manasa Ganga (adreh sarito) and began to enjoy with the sakhis (sanuga). Srimat refers to the chief woman of Vraja, Radha (srimati). Because this meaning is confidential there is another meaning which covers this jewel like a golden case. Srimat can refer to Baladeva. Krsna who had affection for Balarama began to sport with his friends on the bank of the Manasa Ganga.

Joking in this way, Kṛṣṇa was pleased with Vṛndāvana. The accusative case is used with words denoting time, length, condition or place. They also went to Govardhana (adreḥ). Prīta indicates a general condition of being pleased and prīta-maṇāḥ indicates being pleased in mind.
