अथाहमंशभागेन देवक्या: पुत्रतां शुभे प्राप्स्यामि त्वं यशोदायां नन्दपत्न्‍यां भविष्यसि ॥ ९ ॥

athāham aṁśa-bhāgena devakyāḥ putratāṁ śubhe prāpsyāmi tvaṁ yaśodāyāṁ nanda-patnyāṁ bhaviṣyasi

Translation

O all-auspicious Yoga-māyā, I shall then appear with My full six opulences as the son of Devakī, and you will appear as the daughter of mother Yaśodā, the queen of Mahārāja Nanda.

O all-auspicious Yogamāyā, I shall then appear with My full six opulences as the son of Devakī, and you will appear as the daughter of mother Yaśodā, the queen of Mahārāja Nanda. KB 10.2.9 “After this arrangement, I am personally going to appear in the womb of Devakī with My full potencies. Then I shall appear as the son of Devakī and Vasudeva. And you shall appear as the daughter of Nanda and Yaśodā in Vṛndāvana.

The word aṁśa-bhāgena is important in this verse. In Bhagavad-gītā (10.42) the Lord says: athavā bahunaitena kiṁ jṣātena tavārjuna viṣṭabhyāham idaṁ kṛtsnam ekāṁśena sthito jagat “But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe.” Everything is situated as a part of the Supreme Lord’s potency. In regard to Lord Kṛṣṇa’s appearance in the womb of Devakī, Brahmā played a part also because on the bank of the Milk Ocean he requested the Supreme Personality of Godhead to appear. A part was also played by Baladeva, the first expansion of Godhead. Similarly, Yoga-māyā, who appeared as the daughter of mother Yaśodā, also played a part. Thus jīva-tattva, viṣṇu-tattva and śakti-tattva are all integrated with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and when Kṛṣṇa appears, He appears with all His integrated parts. As explained in previous verses, Yoga-māyā was requested to attract Saṅkarṣaṇa, Baladeva, from the womb of Devakī to the womb of Rohiṇī, and this was a very heavy task for her. Yoga-māyā naturally could not see how it was possible for her to attract Saṅkarṣaṇa. Therefore Kṛṣṇa addressed her as śubhe, auspicious, and said, “Be blessed. Take power from Me, and you will be able to do it.” By the grace of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, anyone can do anything, for the Lord is present in everything, all things being His parts and parcels ( aṁśa-bhāgena ) and increasing or decreasing by His supreme will. Balarāma was only fifteen days older than Kṛṣṇa. By the blessings of Kṛṣṇa, Yoga-māyā became the daughter of mother Yaśodā, but by the supreme will she was not able to enjoy the parental love of her father and mother. Kṛṣṇa, however, although not actually born from the womb of mother Yaśodā, enjoyed the parental love of mother Yaśodā and Nanda. By the blessings of Kṛṣṇa, Yoga-māyā was able to achieve the reputation of being the daughter of mother Yaśodā, who also became famous by the blessings of Kṛṣṇa. Yaśodā means “one who gives fame.”

Amsa bhaga means that knowledge, strength and other secondary qualities (amsa) accompany (bhaga=bhajana) the Lord so that he manifests completely. "I will appear as the son of Devaki with all qualities." This is Sridhara Swami’s explanation of the words in Bhavartha Dipika. According to Jiva Goswami in Vaisnava tosani there are two meanings. He is perfect in whom all the parts (amsa) enter (bhajana= pravesa or entrance). "I will appear as Devaki’s son perfect with all parts." Another meaning of the words is that amsa refers to Brahma and all other servants and bhaga refers to auspiciousness. The Lord appears for the auspiciousness of Brahma and others. " I will appear as the son of Devaki for the welfare of Brahma and others." Or another meaning is as follows. Bhaga means amsa "I will appear in the mood of a son of Devaki as a part of a part, or partially manifesting myself, not completely. Devaki will love me only with aisvarya bhava. Yasoda will manifest complete parental love for me, devoid of the restriction of aisvarya. But you, Yogamaya will simply appear from Yasoda (bhavisyasi)." It is not mentioned that she will become the daughter of Yasoda, though it is mentioned that Krsna will become the son (putratam) of Devaki. "She will not have affection for you as her daughter. Your presence in Vraja will not be noticed by anyone."

Then, very soon after, the Lord says he will appear as the son of Devakī. Later it will be explained that Baladeva was only slightly older in birth. Śrīdhara Svāmī explained the word aṁśa as follows. Bhāgena may be formed from bhaj, to possess. Thus the meaning is “existing with all his śaktis.” Or it can mean “endowed with all his qualities like knowledge and power.” Or it can mean “with the form who glances at māyā as the puruṣa.” Or it can mean “with a form which enters into all his expansions.” Or it can mean “with a form bestowing auspiciousness to jīvas like Brahmā.” Dūrgā may ask, “What is my qualification for being born to Yaśodā?” Kṛṣṇa says “O auspicious one (śubhe)!” By my order, you attain auspiciousness and thus have attained qualification. This is a benediction. This means she will be able to bewilder Nanda and others. Of the word suggests “Because you will appear in Yaśodā you will have fame (yaśaḥ) and bliss (nanda).” The confidential meaning is this. With different (bhāgena) forms (aṁśa) I will appear as the son of Devakī and also as the son of Yaśodā. Śrīdhara Svāmī explains that the word svāṁśena in the verse avatīrṇau jagaty-arthe svāṁśena bala-keśavau (SB 10.38.32) to mean “with their distinct forms.” And you will be present in Yaśodā (bhaviṣyati) but not has her daughter. This meaning can be understood because of the use of different verbs (prāpysāmi and bhaviṣyati). And if the same verb were used for both statements then it would be understood that Durgā would be born as the son of Yaśodā. But calling a girl a son must be rejected by resorting to normal usage as śruti statements like pumāṁsām putram ādhehi: place a son with Viṣṇu’ṣ form in the womb. Just as Devakī carried the Lord in her heart (SB 10.2.18) so Yaśodā also carried the Lord. Just as I take Devakī as a mother, I also take Yaśodā as my mother. Śukadeva will describe this later “Kṛṣṇa appeared as Nanda’s son.” (SB 10.5.1) Thus you will just make a show of your potency since you are māyā.
