Translation
Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued: Thus having been addressed in purity by Devakī and Vasudeva, who were very much appeased, Kaṁsa felt pleased, and with their permission he entered his home.

When Vasudeva talked with Kaṁsa in such an illuminating way, Kaṁsa became very much pleased, and his guilt for killing his nephews subsided. With the permission of his sister Devakī and brother-in-law Vasudeva, he returned to his home with a relieved mind.

They spoke very sincerely to Kamsa with pleasing words (visuddham). Another reading of the word is visraddham. In that case, it means that they spoke in such a way to gain Kamsa’s trust.

Having been answered by Vasudeva and Devakī in such a way to gain his faith (viśuddham), because he was pleased with their words and they agreed with his philosophy, he took permission and entered his house. Another version has akapaṭam (without duplicity) instead of viśuddham.
