Translation
O Lord of lords, master of the universe, O You whose glories it is most pious to hear and chant! O best of the Yadus, O You whose fame is recounted in excellent poetry! O Supreme Lord Nārāyaṇa, I offer You my obeisances.

"O devadeva, you shine among all the devatas. Today, illuminate my house. O jagannatha, you are the lord of the universe. As I am a member of the universe, please be present in my house today as the lord. O punya sravana kirtana, who purifies those who perform hearing and chanting, purify my house today. O yaduttama, o best of the Yadus, please come to my house, as I am also a Yadu. O uttamah sloka, famous as the deliverer of the fallen, please purify my fallen household."
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
O Lord of lords! By your coming it is certain that there were be great purification. Or, you are worthy of worship by the devatās. Though you are merciful to them because they serve you, you should be merciful to me since you are the Lord of the universe (jagan-natha). “But I give mercy to pure people.” I will become pure by hearing your glories (puṇya-śravaṇa-kīrtana). Or you will purify me greatly by letting me see you, since you purify people just by having them hear or chant your glories. I am worthy of your mercy since I have been born in the Yadu dynasty and you are the best of the Yadus, appearing in their family. “How can I give you mercy since you are an associate of Kaṁsa and committed offense in Gokula?” You have the greatest qualities (uttama-śloka), by which you gave a place in the spiritual world to Pūtanā and others. “Since I am the Lord, I do this if I wish, and sometimes I do not do it.” You are shelter of all jīvas (Nārāyaṇa). You may or may not give mercy, but you are the shelter of all jīvas. In great zeal, Akrūra then falls on the ground and grasps Kṛṣṇa’s feet. I offer respects to you (namaḥ). He prays only to Kṛṣṇa since he considers Balarāma to be non-different from him because of the two brothers have such great affection for each other and because Kṛṣṇa is the most prominent.
