Translation
[Lord Kṛṣṇa said:] O lady with beautiful eyebrows, as soon as I fulfill My purpose I will certainly visit your house, where men can relieve their anxiety. Indeed, you are the best refuge for Us homeless travelers.

“My dear beautiful girl, I am very much pleased by your invitation, and I must come to your home after finishing My other business here. A beautiful girl such as you is the only means of solace for persons like Us, who are away from home and not married. Certainly, a suitable girlfriend like you can give Us relief from all kinds of mental agitation.”

Śrī Kṛṣṇa indicated not only that He had no fixed residence but also that He was not yet married.

Krsna then spoke, conveying to Kubja that he was accepting her, and conveying to Balarama and others that he was evading a worldly woman. "O beautiful woman, your house takes away the mental sorrows of all men." He spoke of all men to joke with her. "After doing my work of killing Kamsa , I will certainly come to your house." In this way he indicated the time that he would come. "You are the supreme shelter of us unmarried men." Krsna, though one person, used the plural (nah) to produce respect for himself as a prince in Kubja’s mind. "We are travelers." By this he hints that in Gokula, his own village he has many gopis who are attracted to him, but in Mathura he does not know anyone. Only she is attracted to him here. Thus he hints that he is attracted to her. On the otherhand, expressing himself to Balarama and others, by the use of the plural, and using the word "travelers" and describing her as one who relieves men of distress (adhi), using phrases indicating her as an ignorant, low woman, he criticizes her.

He then revealed his desire for her. I will come to your house. Using the plural (naḥ) indicates himself as well as all the other boys (for the boys listening) and his surrender to her (for her understanding).

Kṛṣṇa addresses her as subhru. This indicates his desire for her. You are the refuge for travellers. This indicates Balarāma and others as well as himself. He in this way hides his own bhāva out of shyness, making a general statement. Or having left our homes and travelled for a long time, we take shelter of you.
