Translation
That most opulent bow was guarded by a large company of men, who were respectfully worshiping it. Kṛṣṇa pushed His way forward and, despite the guards’ attempts to stop Him, picked it up.

The bow was guarded by and worshipped by many of Kaṁsa’s servants and thus had a great wealth of ornaments etc. The guards in anger tried to stop him from approaching out of affection for and fear of Kaṁsa.
