ततस्तावङ्गरागेण स्ववर्णेतरशोभिना सम्प्राप्तपरभागेन शुशुभातेऽनुरञ्जितौ ॥ ५ ॥

tatas tāv aṅga-rāgeṇa sva-varṇetara-śobhinā samprāpta-para-bhāgena śuśubhāte ’nuraṣjitau

Translation

Anointed with these most excellent cosmetics, which adorned Them with hues that contrasted with Their complexions, the two Lords appeared extremely beautiful.

Anointed with these most excellent cosmetics, which adorned Them with hues that contrasted with Their complexions, the two Lords appeared extremely beautiful. KB 10.42.5 The two transcendental brothers, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, were naturally beautiful and had beautiful complexions, and They were nicely dressed in colorful garments. The upper portions of Their bodies were already very attractive, and when the hunchbacked woman smeared Their bodies with sandalwood pulp, They looked even more beautiful.

The ācāryas suggest that Kṛṣṇa spread yellow ointment upon His body, and Balarāma blue ointment upon His.

Krsna and Balarama appeared splendid when their complexions changed suitable to their moods, by the application of the yellow and blue colored ointments.
