Translation
Then Kṛṣṇa kicked in Śala’s head and tore Tośala in half, and both wrestlers fell down dead.

Then Kṛṣṇa struck the wrestler Śala in the head with His toes and tore him in half. The Lord dealt with Tośala in the same way, and both wrestlers fell down dead.

A wrestler of the name Śala came forward, and Kṛṣṇa immediately cracked his head with a kick. A wrestler named Tośala came forward and was killed in the same way.

Śala and Tośalaka, against the rules of wrestling, out of fear, attacked Kṛṣṇa together while he could not see, in order to grab Kṛṣṇa’s two legs. They approached with heads bowed.

Then Śala and Toṣala approached Kṛṣṇa. Seeing Kṛṣṇa’s great strength, the two did not want to approach Kṛṣṇa, but after Kūṭa approached Balarāma, out of fear of Kaṁsa they attacked Kṛṣṇa together. Or though they did not approach to fight like Kūṭa, they were killed since they were Kaṁsa’s followers standing nearby, ready to fight. Hi means certainly. Kṛṣṇa’s left foot hit his head, which fell off. Or the head shone (kaḥ) with crown and other ornaments. According to Viśva kaḥ can mean Brahmā, ātmā, fire or the sun. Kṛṣṇa was able to knock his head off with his foot from far away, attracting it with his foot (kṛṣṇa). They fell down completely, without life (nipetuḥ).
