sarvān svān jṣati-sambandhān digbhyaḥ kaṁsa-bhayākulān yadu-vṛṣṇy-andhaka-madhu dāśārha-kukurādikān sabhājitān samāśvāsya videśāvāsa-karśitān nyavāsayat sva-geheṣu vittaiḥ santarpya viśva-kṛt

Translation

The Lord then brought all His close family members and other relatives back from the various places to which they had fled in fear of Kaṁsa. He received the Yadus, Vṛṣṇis, Andhakas, Madhus, Dāśārhas, Kukuras and other clans with due honor, and He also consoled them, for they were weary of living in foreign lands. Then Lord Kṛṣṇa, the creator of the universe, resettled them in their homes and gratified them with valuable gifts.

He received the Yadus, Vṛṣṇis, Andhakas, Madhus, Dāśārhas, Kukuras and other clans with due honor, and He also consoled them, for they were weary of living in foreign lands. KB 10.45.15-16 “My dear grandfather, out of fear of My late uncle Kaṁsa, all the kings belonging to the Yadu, Vṛṣṇi, Andhaka, Madhu, Daśārha and Kukura dynasties were very anxious and disturbed. Now you can pacify them all and give them assurance of security. The whole kingdom will be peaceful.” All the kings in the neighboring area had left their homes in fear of Kaṁsa and were living in distant parts of the country. Two verses are taken together. Kṛṣṇa brought back (this verb should be added) from various directions his direct relatives and those related through marriages (sambandhān). Or he consoled his relatives who had gone (this verb should be understood) to various directions (digbhyaḥ). Bhojas are included in the Yadus. The word ādi indicates groups like the Sātvatas. The Sātvatas and Bhojas mostly lived with Akrūra in Mathurā. Thus there were eight chief groups of Yadus: Yadus, Vṛṣṇis, Andhakas. Madhus, Dāśārhas, Kukuras, Sātvatas and Bhojas. Honouring them by quickly sending vehicles to them, he quickly (sam) brought them. They had become thin by residing in foreign lands, and, giving them abundant wealth, he established their homes by giving houses, utensils, furniture and livelihood. “How was it possible to establish living quarters for so many so quickly?” Kṛṣṇa was creator of the universe. His wealth was unobtainable by Indra. He also brought Rohiṇī from Vraja.

Many had left Mathurā and had been living in Kuru-pāñcala and other places. Ādikān also indicates the Sātvatas. Bhojas, along with Akrūra, generally followed Kaṁsa and lived in Mathurā. These eight were the chief groups of the Yādavas. They were welcomed, quickly coming and going. They were consoled because they suffered a long time in foreign lands (karśitān). Thus they were given abundant wealth and settled quickly with celebrations, by cleaning the houses, and supplying cloth, ornaments, and furniture. How was it possible to make so many houses to be situated there? As maker of the universe, he supplied all types of wealth not available to even Indra.
