Translation
Who can bear to give up intimate talks with Lord Uttamaḥśloka? Although He shows no interest in her, Goddess Śrī never moves from her place on His chest.

“Who can forget a solitary conversation with Kṛṣṇa, on whose chest the goddess of fortune always remains, in spite of Kṛṣṇa’s not desiring her?

"Though a greedy man may not attain his desired object, he cannot give up the desire for the object. Who has the ability to give up the beauty and sweetness of Krsna, Uttama sloka, once having attained it? No one can. Though Laksmi is ignored by Krsna, she does not give up the chest of Krsna, but remains there always as a golden line."

The gopīs elaborate their last statement. What person (kaḥ), what to speak of women, can attempt (utsaheta) to give up, what to speak of actually giving up statements made by Kṛṣṇa? How could persons fixed in knowledge completely disregard (santyaktum) those statements, what to speak of forgetting him? His qualities and form are elaborately described (uttamaḥśloka). He made statements like the following:
na pāraye ’haṁ niravadya-saṁyujāṁ
sva-sādhu-kṛtyaṁ vibudhāyuṣāpi vaḥ
I am not able to repay my debt for your spotless service, even within a lifetime of Brahmā. SB 10.32.22
The words santyaktum, completely giving up, indicates that it is impossible to give up internal attachment and respect. Why is this said? He takes no interest in Lakṣmī. It is said:
nāham ātmānam āśāse mad-bhaktaiḥ sādhubhir vinā
śriyaṁ cātyantikīṁ brahman yeṣāṁ gatir ahaṁ parā
O brāhmaṇa! Without the devotees, who take shelter of only me, I do not desire to enjoy Lakṣmī. SB 9.4.64
Though Kṛṣṇa does not give regard to Lakṣmī, because of his greater regard for those with intense anurāga, she remains always on his chest as a golden line. She does not move from his chest.
