Translation
By the power of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Vṛṣṇis would invariably annihilate all of Jarāsandha’s forces, and when all his soldiers had been killed, the King, released by his enemies, would again go away.

Each and every time, he was defeated and all his soldiers were killed by Kṛṣṇa, and each time he had to return home disappointed. Each time, the princely order of the Yadu dynasty arrested Jarāsandha in the same way and again released him in an insulting manner, and each time Jarāsandha shamelessly returned home.

The Yadus, rather than Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, fought at these times. And even the main fighters like Sātyaki did not have to fight. Kṛṣṇa arranged that their powers increased like blazing fire (kṛṣna-tejasā). They were never without this power for it is stated in verse 44 that Kālayavana had heard of their powers. The king was released each time by the Vṛṣṇis (aribhiḥ) according to Kṛṣṇa’s wish. Or, when all the enemies were killed by the Vṛṣṇis (aribhiḥ) he was released by Kṛṣṇa.
