Translation
Although insulted in this way, the Supreme Lord entered the mountain cave. Kālayavana also entered, and there he saw another man lying asleep.

When Kṛṣṇa entered the cave of the hill, Kālayavana followed, chastising Him with various harsh words. Kṛṣṇa suddenly disappeared from the demon’s sight, but Kālayavana followed and also entered the cave. The first thing he saw was a man lying down asleep within the cave.

The Lord exhibits here His opulence of renunciation. Determined to execute His plan and give His blessings to Mucukunda, the Lord ignored Kālayavana’s insults and calmly proceeded with His program.

The Lord, omniscient, knew the power and bhakti of his devotee Mucukunda who was sleeping in the cave. When he entered the cave it is understood that he stood near Mucukunda’s head.
śiraḥsthāne tu rājarṣer mucukundasya keśavaḥ /
saṁdarśana-pathaṁ tyaktvā tasthau buddhimatāṁ varaḥ //
Kṛṣṇa, the best of the intelligent, stood near the head of king Mucukunda without being visible. He did so to make room for Kālayavana and to hide himself. He did not see the Lord, but someone else. Hari-vaṁśa
