तं भुक्तवन्तं विश्रान्तमुपगम्य सतां गति: । पाणिनाभिमृशन् पादावव्यग्रस्तमपृच्छत ॥ २९ ॥

Verse text

taṁ bhuktavantaṁ viśrāntam upagamya satāṁ gatiḥ pāṇinābhimṛśan pādāv avyagras tam apṛcchata

Translation

After the brāhmaṇa had eaten and rested, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the goal of saintly devotees, came forward, and while massaging the brāhmaṇa’s feet with His own hands, He patiently questioned him as follows.

After the brāhmaṇa had eaten and rested, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the goal of saintly devotees, came forward, and while massaging the brāhmaṇa's feet with His own hands, He patiently questioned him as follows. KB 10.52.29 In due time, the brāhmaṇa took his bath, accepted his meals and lay down to rest on a bedstead completely bedecked with soft silk. As he was resting, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa silently approached and, with great respect, put the brāhmaṇa’s legs on His lap and began to massage them. In this way, Kṛṣṇa appeared before the brāhmaṇa and said,

Krsna appeared calm (avyagrah), though he was anxious within concerning the marriage. Massaging the brahmana’s feet (abhisprsya), he then inquired from him.

Giving everything else to welcome the guest properly or, with a composed heart, he inquired from the brāhmaṇa since Kṛṣṇa was the first shelter of those practicing the highest dharma.
