Purport (Jiva Goswami)

She described how he was stolen in order to make Pradyumna angry.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

She described how he was stolen in order to make Pradyumna angry. Why did he throw me in the sea? He was a demon by nature, enemy of the devatās (asuraḥ). He was the chief of the demons, with great illusory powers, or famous as the enemy of Cupid (asuraḥ). She addresses him as master to confirm that he is her husband, or to show that he is capable of killing Śambara.
