Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

When the women of Lord Kṛṣṇa's palace heard this most amazing account, they joyfully greeted Pradyumna, who had been lost for many years but who had now returned as if from the dead. KB 10.55.37 When everyone was informed of the mysterious disappearance of Pradyumna and how he had grown up, they were all struck with wonder because they had gotten back their dead son after they were almost hopeless of his return. When they understood that it was Pradyumna who was present, they received him with great delight.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Mahad āśarayam should be mahāścaryam. They welcomed him as will be described. He had disappeared and was thus as if dead. Now he had again returned as if from death. The women were overjoyed with astonishment on being shown Pradyumna’s greatness by relationship with Kṛṣṇa.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

All the women of the inner chambers belonging to Kṛṣṇa, directly the supreme Lord, including unlimited servant girls and friends, welcomed him, praising his glorious actions. Or having recovered him, they were completely happy (abhyanandan).
