Translation
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Once, the supremely opulent Personality of Godhead went to Indraprastha to visit the Pāṇḍavas, who had again appeared in public. Accompanying the Lord were Yuyudhāna and other associates.

As mentioned in the last chapter, there was a great rumor that the five Pāṇḍava brothers, along with their mother Kuntī, had died, according to the plan of the sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, in a fire accident in the house of lac in which they were living. But then the five brothers were detected at the marriage ceremony of Draupadī, so another rumor spread that the Pāṇḍavas and their mother were not dead. It was a rumor, but actually it was so; they returned to their capital city, Hastināpura, and people saw them face to face. When this news was carried to Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, Kṛṣṇa wanted to see them personally, and therefore He decided to go to Hastināpura.
This time Kṛṣṇa visited Hastināpura in state, as a royal prince, accompanied by His commander in chief, Yuyudhāna, and by many other soldiers. He had not actually been invited to visit the city, yet He went to see the Pāṇḍavas out of His affection for His great devotees.

Almost everyone except Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Balarāma had thought the Pāṇḍavas perished in the fire set by Duryodhana in the house of lac. Now the Pāṇḍavas had appeared again in public, and Kṛṣṇa was paying them a visit.

In the fifty eighth chapter, Krsna sees the Pandavas and marries five brides, Kalindi, Mitravinda, Satya, Bhadra and Laksmana.
Seeing that the Pandavas had reappeared at the house of Drupada, Krsna went to see them with Satyaki and others.

Having finished the side story, after starting to narrate the various marriages of the Lord, Śukadeva continues that narration. He describes the marriage to Kālindī. The Pāṇḍavas were known by everyone to be living because they came back. Kṛṣṇa was glorious with the greatest prosperity (śrīmān) because he was surrounded by Yuyudhāna (Sātyaki) and others. He was the best of men because he showed proper affection for his devotees. Sātyaki was with him as the principle person because he was dear to the Pāṇḍavas.

Having finished the side story in starting to narrate the various marriages of the Lord, Śukadeva continues that narration. He describes the marriage to Kālindī. Kṛṣṇa, who had all qualities of a good person, such as affection for devotees (puruṣottamaḥ), went to Indraprastha when the Pāṇḍavas were visible there (pratītān), to see them. Previously the Pāṇḍavas lived with Duryodhana in Hastinapura, but after marrying Draupadi at her father’s house, by the order of Bhīṣma, Dhṛtarāṣṭra gave them half the kingdom. This is described in detail in the Ādi-pārva of Mahābhārata.
Kṛṣṇa was glorious with great wealth. He went to give them all wealth, since they had suffered for a long time. He went with Sātyaki because he was a main Yādu and dear to the Pāṇḍavas. Balarāma did not go. Being the guru of Duryodhana, he was not particularly friendly with the Pāṇḍavas. Or his association was not proper when Kṛṣṇa was to marry Kālindī. Or he went to see the Pāṇḍavas who now lived (itān) at (prati) Indraprastha.
