तं प्रविष्टं स्‍त्रियो वीक्ष्य नरवर्यं विमोहिता: । मनसा वव्रिरेऽभीष्टं पतिं दैवोपसादितम् ॥ ३४ ॥

Verse text

tam praviṣṭaṁ striyo vīkṣya nara-varyaṁ vimohitāḥ manasā vavrire ’bhīṣṭaṁ patiṁ daivopasāditam

Translation

The women became enchanted when they saw that most excellent of males enter. In their minds they each accepted Him, who had been brought there by destiny, as their chosen husband.

The women became enchanted when they saw that most excellent of males enter. In their minds they each accepted Him, who had been brought there by destiny, as their chosen husband. KB 10.59.34 When the princesses saw the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, enter the palace, they immediately became captivated by the beauty of the Lord and prayed for His causeless mercy. Within their minds, they decided to accept Lord Kṛṣṇa as their husband without hesitation.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Seeing him directly (vi—īkṣya) the women were bewildered by the Lord. He was completely desired (abhi—iṣṭam), desired for a long time. He was rare to achieve but they achieved him by previous bhakti (daivopasāditam). They accepted him as their husband. nivasantyo yathā devyaḥ sukhinyaḥ kāma-varjitāḥ // parivavrur mahā-bāhum eka-veṇī-dharāḥ striyaḥ / sarvāḥ kāṣāya-vāsinyaḥ sarvāś ca niyatendriyāḥ // vratopavāsa-tattvajñāḥ kāṅkṣantyaḥ kṛṣṇa-darśanam / The women living there, devoid of material desire, wearing single braids, accepted Kṛṣṇa in joy. They were all wearing soiled garments. Controlling their senses, practicing vows and fasting, knowing the truth, they desired to see Kṛṣṇa.
