श्रीशुक उवाच एकैकशस्ता: कृष्णस्य पुत्रान् दश दशाबला: । अजीजनन्ननवमान्पितु: सर्वात्मसम्पदा ॥ १ ॥

śrī-śuka uvāca ekaikaśas tāḥ kṛṣṇasya putrān daśa-daśābaāḥ ajījanann anavamān pituḥ sarvātma-sampadā

śrī śukaḥ uvāca — Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said ; eka ekaśaḥ — each one of them ; tāḥ they ; kṛṣṇasya of Lord Kṛṣṇa ; putrān sons ; daśa daśa — ten each ; abalāḥ the wives ; ajījanan gave birth to ; anavamān not inferior ; pituḥ to their father ; sarva in all ; ātma His personal ; sampadā opulences .

Translation

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Each of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s wives gave birth to ten sons, who were not less than their father, having all His personal opulence.

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Each of Lord Kṛṣṇa's wives gave birth to ten sons, who were not less than their father, having all His personal opulence. KB 10.61.1 Kṛṣṇa had 16,108 wives, and in each of them He begot ten sons, all of them equal to their father in the opulences of strength, beauty, wisdom, fame, wealth and renunciation. “Like father, like son.”

Lord Kṛṣṇa had 16,108 wives, and thus this verse indicates that the Lord begot 161,080 sons.

This chapter describes the sons and grandsons of Krsna, and the killing of Rukmi by Balarama at the dice game during the marriage of Aniruddha. The wives gave birth to sons who were not less than Krsna in terms of their personal powers and qualities.
