Translation
As Bāṇa continued hurling weapons at Him, the Supreme Lord began using His razor-sharp cakra to cut off Bāṇāsura’s arms as if they were tree branches.

When Lord Kṛṣṇa saw the weapons of Bāṇāsura coming at Him, like water coming out of a strainer, He took His sharp-edged Sudarśana disc and began to cut off the demon’s one thousand arms, one after another, just as a gardener trims the twigs of a tree with sharp cutters.

Later when Bāṇa began hurling various weapons at Kṛṣṇa, as soon as the weapons were released, Kṛṣṇa cut off his arms since he was endowed with all powers (bhagavān), using his sharp-edged cakra. He did this quickly and easily. Hari-vaṁśa describes this:
alāta-cakravat tūrṇaṁ bhramyac cakraṁ sadābhavat /
kṣiptaṁ tu vāsudevena bāṇasya raṇa-mūrdhani |
viṣṇu-cakraṁ bhramaty āśu śaighryād rūpam na dṛśyate //
tasya bāhu-sahasrasya paryāyeṇa punaḥ punaḥ /
bāṇasya chedanaṁ cakre tac cakraṁ raṇa-mūrdhani //
In front of the battle with Bāṇa, the cakra thrown by the Lord revolved quickly and constantly like a fire brand moving in a circle. It moved so fast its form could not be seen. The cakra cut off Bāṇa’s thousand arms one at a time on the battlefield.
