कुम्भाण्डकूपकर्णाभ्यां बलेन सह संयुग: । साम्बस्य बाणपुत्रेण बाणेन सह सात्यके: ॥ ८ ॥

kumbhāṇḍa-kūpakarṇābhyāṁ balena saha saṁyugaḥ sāmbasya bāṇa-putreṇa bāṇena saha sātyakeḥ

Synonyms

kumbhāṇḍa kūpakarṇābhyām — by Kumbhāṇḍa and Kūpakarṇa ; balena saha with Lord Balarāma ; saṁyugaḥ a fight ; sāmbasya of Sāmba ; bāṇa putreṇa — with the son of Bāṇa ; bāṇena saha with Bāṇa ; sātyakeḥ of Sātyaki .

Translation

Lord Balarāma fought with Kumbhāṇḍa and Kūpakarṇa, Sāmba with Bāṇa’s son, and Sātyaki with Bāṇa.

Lord Balarāma fought with Kumbhāṇḍa and Kūpakarṇa, Sāmba with Bāṇa's son, and Sātyaki with Bāṇa. KB 10.63.8 … and Lord Balarāma was engaged with Bāṇāsura’s commander in chief, Kumbhāṇḍa, who was assisted by Kūpakarṇa. Sāmba, the son of Kṛṣṇa, fought the son of Bāṇāsura, and Bāṇāsura fought Sātyaki, commander in chief of the Yadu dynasty. In this way the fighting was waged.
