Translation
Upon observing Lord Kṛṣṇa’s preparations for battle, the mighty warrior Pauṇḍraka quickly went out of the city with two full military divisions.

King Pauṇḍraka was a great warrior, and as soon as he heard of Kṛṣṇa’s attack, he came out of the city with two akṣauhiṇī divisions of soldiers.

Pauṇḍraka was a might warrior (mahā-rathaḥ) or he is said to have mounted a great chariot (mahā-rathaḥ) so because he got on a chariot with the flag of Garuḍa.
