आश्रमानृषिमुख्यानां कृत्वा भग्नवनस्पतीन् । अदूषयच्छकृन्मूत्रैरग्नीन् वैतानिकान् खल: ॥ ६ ॥

āśramān ṛṣi-mukhyānāṁ kṛtvā bhagna-vanaspatīn adūṣayac chakṛn-mūtrair agnīn vaitānikān khalaḥ

Synonyms

āśramān the spiritual communities ; ṛṣi of sages ; mukhyānām exalted ; kṛtva making ; bhagna broken ; vanaspatīn whose trees ; adūṣayat he contaminated ; śakṛt with stool ; mūtraiḥ and urine ; agnīn the fires ; vaitānikān sacrificial ; khalaḥ wicked .

Translation

The wicked ape tore down the trees in the hermitages of exalted sages and contaminated their sacrificial fires with his feces and urine.

The wicked ape tore down the trees in the hermitages of exalted sages and contaminated their sacrificial fires with his feces and urine. KB 10.67.6 Often he would go to the hermitages of great saintly persons and sages and cause a great disturbance by smashing their beautiful gardens and orchards. Not only did he create disturbances in that way, but sometimes he would pass urine and stool on their sacred sacrificial arenas. He would thus pollute the whole atmosphere.
