यस्य पादयुगं साक्षाच्छ्रीरुपास्तेऽखिलेश्वरी । स नार्हति किल श्रीशो नरदेवपरिच्छदान् ॥ ३६ ॥

Verse text

yasya pāda-yugaṁ sākṣāc chrīr upāste ’khileśvarī sa nārhati kila śrīśo naradeva-paricchadān

Synonyms

yasya whose ; pāda yugam — two feet ; sākṣāt herself ; śrīḥ the goddess of fortune ; upāste worships ; akhila of the whole universe ; īśvarī the ruler ; saḥ He ; na arhati does not deserve ; kila indeed ; śrī īśaḥ — the master of the goddess of fortune ; nara deva — of a human king ; paricchadān the paraphernalia .

Translation

“The goddess of fortune herself, ruler of the entire universe, worships His feet. And the master of the goddess of fortune does not deserve the paraphernalia of a mortal king?

"The goddess of fortune herself, ruler of the entire universe, worships His feet. And the master of the goddess of fortune does not deserve the paraphernalia of a mortal king? KB 10.68.36 “You have thought it wise that the royal insignias like the whisk, fan, white umbrella, royal throne and other princely paraphernalia not be used by the Yadu dynasty. Does this mean that even Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Lord of the whole creation and the husband of the goddess of fortune, cannot use this royal paraphernalia?

He has greatness because Lakṣmī, his svarūpa-śakti, queen of Vaikuṇṭha, directly worships his feet. Or Rukmiṇī, his full manifestation, who controls even me, worships his feet. What to speak of low Māyā devī, who gives wealth to Svarga. The word śrīśaḥ again makes the same point.

Lakṣmī, served by Brahmā and others, directly serves Kṛṣṇa. Or as Rukmiṇī, Lakṣmī serves him directly. Being the lord of Lakṣmī or able to give all wealth to the devotees, is he not qualified for royal symbols like the cāmara?
