This time Nāradajī saw that Lord Kṛṣṇa was engaged as an affectionate father petting His small children. From there he entered another palace and saw Lord Kṛṣṇa preparing to take His bath. KB 10.69.23 This time Nāradajī saw that Lord Kṛṣṇa was engaged as an affectionate father petting His small children. From there he entered another palace and saw Lord Kṛṣṇa preparing to take His bath. In this way, Saint Nārada entered each and every one of the sixteen thousand residential palaces of the queens of Lord Kṛṣṇa, and in each of them he found Kṛṣṇa engaged in different ways.

Purport

This translation is from Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī comments that in virtually all the palaces Nārada visited, Lord Kṛṣṇa worshiped and honored him.

Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

In all the houses first Krsna worshipped and praised Narada. This should be understood, though not mentioned in the verses. Narada saw (acasta) Krsna playing with his infant sons. Fourteen and a half verses describe what he saw. Just as Krsna with one body had many appearances with different awareness and different activities, so also Uddhava and others with one body had many appearances. Narada, who went at the speed of the mind to sixteen thousand palaces in a moment, saw Krsna performing different activities at different time. This means that Krsna revealed within one moment the whole day of sixty ghatikas including all its parts starting with early morning, and along with that all the corresponding activities, and Krsna entered into those times. It is understood that Narada understood that all the times of the whole day with all the different activities were being displayed almost at once. In one house Narada saw Krsna preparing to bathe. This indicates it was early morning or dawn in that palace.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

He saw Bhagavān, who had appeared on earth for having fun in various pastimes (govindam). As previously Nārada was worshipped with devotion. This is understood from the words tatrāpi. Here he was involved in artha, dharma and kāma as mentioned in verse 29. The order of the words sutān śiśūn is reversed in some versions. Though Nārada came in the evening, and though Nārada could travel from one palace to another at the speed of the mind by his powers of yoga, he saw pastimes taking place at various times of the day. By the powers of yogamāyā, simultaneously various times of day were presented. Otherwise he would not have been so amazed. Since Kṛṣṇa was preparing for his bath, it was early morning.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

He saw Bhagavān, who had appeared on earth to show his powers (govindam). As previously Nārada was worshipped with devotion and asked questions here also and in all houses, since in all places the Lord shows proper conduct. Or the worship was not carried out completely in all places since Nārada disregarded it or was in a hurry, wandering from house to house with an intense desire to see, being astonished by the display of the Lord’s powers. He saw Kṛṣṇa taking his noon bath (majjanāya).
