प्रस्थापनोपनयनैरपत्यानां महोत्सवान् । वीक्ष्य योगेश्वरेशस्य येषां लोका विसिस्मिरे ॥ ३३ ॥

Verse text

prasthāpanopanayanair apatyānāṁ mahotsavān vīkṣya yogeśvareśasya yeṣāṁ lokā visismire

Synonyms

prasthāpana with sending away ; upanayanaiḥ and bringing home ; apatyānām of the children ; mahā great ; utsavān holiday celebrations ; vīkṣya seeing ; yoga īśvara — of the masters of yoga ; īśasya of the supreme master ; yeṣām whose ; lokāḥ the people ; visismire were amazed .

Translation

Nārada observed how Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the master of all yoga masters, arranged to send away His daughters and sons-in-law, and also to receive them home again, at the time of great holiday celebrations. All the citizens were astonished to see these celebrations.

Nārada observed how Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the master of all yoga masters, arranged to send away His daughters and sons-in-law, and also to receive them home again, at the time of great holiday celebrations. All the citizens were astonished to see these celebrations. KB 10.69.33 In one palace the Lord was found bidding farewell to His daughters, and in another He was found receiving a daughter-in-law. People throughout the whole city were astonished to see such pomp and ceremonies.

At the end of yearly festivals he sent the daughters and their husbands from his house back to their own houses. At t the beginning of the festivals he brought them from their houses. Seeing this, people were astonished.

The people were astonished at the marriages as well as the coming and going of the daughters with their husbands since these events were unimaginable. Why? This was all done by the master of all masters of yoga. Or, it was done by the Lord of the Kumāras. The people of Vaikuṇṭha such as Garuḍa were astonished.

The people were astonished at the marriages as well as the coming and going of the daughters with their husbands, or the coming of the sons with their brides with gifts, since these events were unimaginable. Why? This was all done by the master of all masters of yoga. Or, it was done by the Lord of the Kumāras. The people of Vaikuṇṭha such as Garuḍa were astonished since this did not occur in Vaikuṇṭha.
