Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

An effulgent light rose from Śiśupāla's body and, as everyone watched, entered Lord Kṛṣṇa just like a meteor falling from the sky to the earth. KB 10.74.45 Then the fortunate Śiśupāla’s spirit soul immediately merged into the body of Lord Kṛṣṇa in the presence of all, exactly as a burning meteor falls to the surface of the globe.

Purport

In this connection, the ācāryas remind us that Śiśupāla is actually one of the Lord’s eternal associates playing the part of a belligerent demon. Thus to most observers it appeared that Śiśupāla achieved the impersonal liberation of merging into Lord Kṛṣṇa’s bodily effulgence. In fact, after being liberated from his mortal frame, Śiśupāla returned to the side of his master, the Supreme Lord of the spiritual world. The following verse further explains this.

Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

The spiritual body being eternal, in the form of light, (like a comet falling from the sky) Sisupala rose up to Vaikuntha. He therefore merged into Krsna, within whom the Lord of Vaikuntha had merged. He remained inside Krsna at the side of his Lord of Vaikuntha. At the end of Krsna’s earthly pastimes at Prabhasa ksetra, he would go to Vaikuntha along with his lord the master of Vaikuntha. The popular view however is that Sisupala attained sayujya with Krsna at the rajasuya sacrifice.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

There was a light. This was merged with his form (which could thus not be seen), since his form as an associate is actually indestructible.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

A light immediately entered into Kṛṣṇa, son of Vasudeva, who was nearby (upa). He again became an associate and met the Lord. The light was like a meteor. Thus, with astonishment all beings looked on. Though it was impossible for him to be a light, since he had a form as an associate, he entered the Lord in this manner in order to give joy to the devotees who knew the truth, understanding that he attained a body again as an associate.
