स्‍त्रियश्च संवीक्ष्य मिथोऽतिसौहृद- स्मितामलापाङ्गद‍ृशोऽभिरेभिरे । स्तनै: स्तनान् कुङ्कुमपङ्करूषितान् निहत्य दोर्भि: प्रणयाश्रुलोचना: ॥ १५ ॥

striyaś ca saṁvīkṣya mitho ’ti-sauhṛda- smitāmalāpāṅga-dṛśo ’bhirebhire stanaiḥ stanān kuṅkuma-paṅka-rūṣitān nihatya dorbhiḥ praṇayāśru-locanāḥ

Synonyms

striyaḥ — the women ; ca — and ; saṁvīkṣya — seeing ; mithaḥ — one another ; ati — extreme ; sauhṛda — with friendly affection ; smita — smiling ; amala — pure ; apāṅga — exhibiting glances ; dṛśaḥ — whose eyes ; abhirebhire — they embraced ; stanaiḥ — with breasts ; stanān — breasts ; kuṅkuma — of saffron ; paṅka — with paste ; rūṣitān — smeared ; nihatya — pressing ; dorbhiḥ — with their arms ; praṇaya — of love ; aśru — tears ; locanāḥ — in whose eyes .

Translation

The women glanced at one another with pure smiles of loving friendship. And when they embraced, their breasts, smeared with saffron paste, pressed against one another as their eyes filled with tears of affection.

The women glanced at one another with pure smiles of loving friendship. And when they embraced, their breasts, smeared with saffron paste, pressed against one another as their eyes filled with tears of affection. KB 10.82.15 While the men were meeting in that way, the women also met one another in the same manner. They embraced one another in great friendship, smiling very mildly, and looked at one another with much affection. When they were embracing one another in their arms, the saffron and kuṅkuma spread on their breasts was exchanged from one person to another, and they all felt heavenly ecstasy. Due to such heart-to-heart embracing, torrents of tears glided down their cheeks.

Now the women devotees are described. The word mutually (mithaḥ) should be understood with all the verbs. Because of the tight embraces they crushed each other (nihatya).

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

Now the women devotees are described. They looked at each other directly (saṁ-vīkṣya). The word saṁ (completely) is then illustrated. They embraced each other with spread arms. Breasts crushed breasts. Because of the tight embraces their full, raised breasts crushed each other. They shed tears out of affection (praṇaya). The word ca indicates that their words became choked up with joy. That is the nature of affection.
