Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

My dear Mahārāja Parīkṣit, Vasudeva's priests and the officiating members of the assembly, dressed in silk dhotīs and jeweled ornaments, looked so effulgent that they seemed to be standing in the sacrificial arena of Indra, the killer of Vṛtra. KB 10.84.49 Vasudeva looked very beautiful surrounded by his wives, exactly like the King of heaven when he performs such sacrifices.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

One version has pīta-kauśeya-vāsasaḥ. They were dressed in new cloth similar to the Lord’s. The other version has ratna-kauśeya-vāsasaḥ: they were dressed in cloth with gems hanging at the edges. The simile is used to indicate that just on seeing this, one would become astonished.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

One version has pīta-kauśeya-vāsasaḥ. They were dressed in cloth previously worn by the Lord. By the mercy of Vasudeva they attained perfection of bhakti as they desired. Thus they especially shone. O great king! Śukadeva calls in great joy.
