Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Bhṛgu felt satisfied and delighted to hear the solemn words spoken by Lord Vaikuṇṭha. Overwhelmed with devotional ecstasy, he remained silent, his eyes brimming with tears. KB 10.89.12 Bhṛgu Muni, however, could understand his position and that of the Lord, and he was struck with wonder at the behavior of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Because of his gratitude, his voice choked up, and he was unable to reply to the words of the Lord. Tears glided from his eyes, and he could not say anything. He simply stood silently before the Lord.

Purport

Bhṛgu could not offer the Lord any words of praise because his throat was choking with tears of ecstasy. In the opinion of Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī, the sage should not be condemned for his offensive behavior, since his role in this transcendental pastime was arranged by the Personality of Godhead.

Purport (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

Pleased by the Lord’s deep words, Bhrgu remained silent, unable to recite praises as his voice was choked by his tears. Ancient authorities consider that Bhrgu did not commit offense since he was like a puppet being made to dance by the puppeteer in the form of the Lord’s pastimes.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

On hearing the words of the son of Vikuṇṭha, Bhṛgu was at ease in his mind since he was pleased. Tears choked his voice because of his prema mixed with reverence. Tears came to his eyes.

Purport (Sanatana Goswami)

On hearing the words of the son of Vikuṇṭhā or the words of the lord of Vaikuṇṭḥa, Bhṛgu was at ease in his mind since he was pleased. The words were suitable because they came from the lord of Vaikuṇṭha. It is understood that Bhṛgu went to the Vaikuṇtḥa created in the material world to please Lakṣmī. He could go there because he was the father of Lakṣmī, and to produce respect for the Lord by the manifestion of great fortune there. It was impossible to go the Vaikuṇṭha in the spiritual world immediately to test the Lord, since it was beyond the material realm. His heart was at rest because he was pleased (tarpitaḥ). Thus he became eager for bhakti, or prema came gushing from his throat. This means he was choked with tears.
