Translation (Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura)

Formerly, great sages, through the sacrifice of Vedic, worshiped me within themselves, knowing me to be the Supreme Lord of all sacrifice and Paramātmā. These sages thus achieved realization of me. Who is endowed with knowledge and realization? The sages achieved perfection after worshipping me, as the master of all sacrifices and as Paramātmā, in themselves, by the sacrifice consisting of theoretical knowledge. Having attained perfection, the ancient sages were then endowed with knowledge and realization.
