niśamya tasya munayaḥ
śam āśaṁsan samāgatāḥ

Translation
When the great sages heard that Dhruva Mahārāja was overpowered by the illusory mystic tricks of the demons, they immediately assembled to offer him auspicious encouragement.

Hearing that the Yakṣas had cast their magic, difficult to overcome, upon Dhruva, the sages arrived and prayed for his well being.
